Cancer QLD
Your Survival Kit +
Queensland women have a 1 in 6 chance of being diagnosed with women's cancer in their lifetime.
Your Code Pink Survival Kit will help you prevent women's cancer, detect it early, and ultimately, beat it.

The Code Pink motto is simple: do it, live it, beat it.
Survival Rule #1
can save
your life
do it!
  • Ask your doctor to recommend a screening protocol for you, based on your age, personal risk factors, and family history.

  • Get a pap smear every two years.

  • Pay attention to your pink bits – self-check regularly and see your doctor straight away if you see or feel any abnormalities.

Survival Rule #2
A healthy diet
and lifestyle
can prevent
live it!
  • Don't smoke and drink less alcohol (or avoid it altogether) – if you drink more than two standard drinks per day, your risk of women's cancer increases.

  • Do at least 30 minutes of exercise every day – improve your fitness.

  • Follow a healthy diet – limit sugar, salt, and processed meats, eat lean meat, complex carbohydrates, fruit and vegetables.

Survival Rule #3
Love the
women in your
life and be
beat it!
  • Talk to the women in your life about cancer prevention and screening.

  • Get involved in fundraising for research, awareness campaigns, and patient support.
